Together with the Thabo Mbeki Foundation, Heavy Chef hosted an incredibly inspiring event delving into the influence of the fourth industrial revolution on South African education and painted an impression of what our future might look like. Featuring S’onqoba Maseka, Sam Paddock and former South African President Thabo Mbeki, the evening was filled with stimulating conversations between audience and speaker.
The Fireside Sessions is an initiative created by local entrepreneur Steven Pinto, who sought to initiate a dialogue between experienced CEOs, budding entrepreneurs and those looking to enter the fray. The first event featured three speakers with varying levels of experience. Karmsheel Ramsugit, CEO of Grocerease, Ross Mains-Sheard, CEO of Versofy and finally Musa Kalenga, CEO of Bridge Labs and experienced entrepreneur. They regaled the crowd with stories, factoids and memories of their experience of the entrepreneurial life and entered into an illuminating discussion with audience members. True to its form, the event was free, allowing anyone from all walks of life to join in the discussion and thought sharing session.
